Both my wife and I completed wk5 run 2 8 minute runs. Been worrying about it all day but we planned our route and off we went, spurred each other on and finished the first 8 mins, well pleased with that we started th second 8 mins, dug deep and we did it together. So pleased we managed it.

Really bricking it about the 20 minute one next though. We will give it a good bash though!!!!

Well done ! :-)

Does that mean you're no longer feeling so tired and lethargic then ?

Well done for completing W5,R2. I found it tough going, but I pushed through and then went on to do W5,R3 on Wednesday. The biggest challenge is the mental one with this run. Your body is prepared but you have to convince your brain. ;) You CAN do it though.

Well done, both of you! The runs cease certainly getting more tricky, aren't they? I'm sure you'll be ok with the 20 minutes one, though it seems a quantum leap from what we've done up till now. Good luck with it, if I can do it you can!

Well done. I am starting week 5 this week. I've been so worried about the 20 minute run that I keep repeating week 4 to put it off! Have decided to finally take the plunge, good to hear others are feeling the same trepidation as me.

Don't you worry, in a very funny sort of way, I found runnning for 20 mins more satisfying. Even though up to w5run3, when Laura asks if we're rested after the walks, I was having to say 'no'! Good luck bethbrit

Everyone worries about week 5 so it might help to read the tags and hunt up how others have managed it. I thought of it as 2 runs of 8 minutes joined with the interval walk and told myself I could slow right down if I needed to during that "walk" time, but I didn't need to and have since decided that it was my favourite week, because it's at the end of that one that you begin to think you might really make a runner! :) Good luck to all of you, but you won't need it- you are all ready if you've done week 4 :)

Well done :) Don't stress about r3 you'll be fine...just slow your pace right down and you'll make it. My other tip would be don't do a new route where a massive hill suprises you at minute 17!!!
