I started jogging today, well walking and jogging. I can't jog for 1 minute straight yet because I just get too out of breath, so I jogged between lamp posts. Knocked 5 minutes of the time it takes to walk to my parents. Very pleased with myself.

Well done! It's just making that first move that's the major hurdle, I think. According to the more "experienced" C25K runners, after that it becomes addictive ... still not sure I believe them, LOL!

my 1st run was lat night was on a right high!!
i came back from run 1 on a high last night so much so i was totally in my own zone, i jogged for all but one of the runs and that one i started jogging but a few steps in a thought i cant do this so walked so fast i was getting out of breath and would of prob been less effort to break into a jog and then came lauras voice you are now on your 2nd to last run and i went for it.
tired today and can feel the burn, dog walking tonight ready for 2nd run tomorrow, i think i will be on week 1 for a couple of weeks tho x

Well done, when I first started I used chewing gum to help with the breathing, give it a try, and when I though I just couldn't go on I would jog on the stop for a minute or so (really slow), it sort of calmed me down and then I was off again with my breathing a little more under control.

Thank you CouchSpud. I do actually chew gum and yes it does help a little bit. Always glad to hear advice from someone who has been there. I did the same thing today but as I don't have to go to my parents tomorrow I will do a different route. It is hard first starting out but I do feel better and have more energy already!
