Did W5R1 this morning. New route as I needed one for the longer runs this week. Even so, found I was retracing my steps along the path as you can get quite a way in 5 mins VERY slow jog / 3 mins walk combo. It went fine, to my amazement. Apart from the last bit when I could've done without the final 60 seconds being uphill followed by a serious hill for the warm-down walk. All credit to the programme, Laura knows best! I would never have thought I could do this, even last week when I struggled with the 5 min runs.
W5R1 - somewhat amazed!: Did W5R1 this morning... - Couch to 5K
W5R1 - somewhat amazed!
But you did it and that's a great feeling isn't it? my hats off to you for tackling hills to i run on the bristol to bath cycle path which luckily is pretty flat for most of the distance with just a few very small inclines so as yet i haven't really had to deal with hills. So be proud of your achievement.
Thanks, ladybugw. I plan my routes to avoid hills which is not easy in the Yorkshire dales but miscalculated this morning, lol. Couldn't blow the last minute cos of a hill! Today's a good day!
Well done soozz, I admire your pluck for tackling that hill (I think it makes it 10 x harder) even a slight incline has me grumbling. Best of luck for the rest of your week's runs.
Brilliant! Just done mine! Found myself walking in circles in the first five minutes, not wanting to give up the flat bit on the easy walk. Somewhat looking forward to R3 this week, seems impossible but, as you say, Laura knows best.
