WOWZER! I weighed myself today and lost 7lbs in one week, I'm amazed! I am really really overweight but the fact that I can go out and jog and know that I'm not going to be this way forever is great. I picture my 7 month old baby boy reaching out for me at the end of the run which spurs me on even more.
I have one more run for week 2 to do and then onto week 3. I'm excited and feel like I'm accomplishing so much. I feel great too. I wish I could do it everyday, but I must try to reel in that enthusiasm!

Wow! I wish I had started when my boys were younger. They are 16 and 8 yrs! We are having so much more fun then when I just sat on the couch. They came for the first run with me and it was hilarious and they both come swimming with me. We bought a new Olympic Frisbee today and I am looking forward to an active, fun filled, healthier Summer. Our kids are great motivators! Be proud of yourself!
7lb in a week, how amazing is that! I am on w3r1 and have been doing slimming world since starting and have dropped 9.5 lb so far. Have you found that running has encouraged you to eat more healthily? It has for me. I still have another 2 stone to go but I'm sure with C25K and healthier eating we will both get there. Keep up the good work.
jomcc4 - I'm definitely eating much healthier. I ate really badly after I had my baby so I knew I needed to. I don't miss the chocolate and sweets, I get the odd craving but I ignore it until it passes. Then hours later I think, "woah, I didn't need that chocolate afterall!".
Wow, what a great start!! And an awesome incentive too to think of your 7mo baby reaching out at the end of each run!
I do the same thing. Whilst running, if I ever feel like I'm approaching the wall, I just think of our 2 boys (eldest is almost 3, youngest is 7months) and how I'd be able to run around and play football with them really soon as my fitness improves
