Pace yourself and do not go fast. I could not do the last minute of the last 5 minutes in my first run but I managed very well in the other two and even enjoyed it.

I agree. I slowed down as the runs became more intense. Iam not worried about the speed. Its the challenge of running 5k that appeals to me! Good luck! :)

Hi zee 11, I'm running W4R1 on Sunday too. I am looking forward to it, but a bit nervous at the same time. Good luck!

Another one here at w4r1 on sunday. And a bit bothered about it but also excited! I have done my last two runs on holiday in cornwall. Not ideal as the lanes here are Soooo narrow! I had to step right into the hedges a couple oftimes. Starting to think about new shoes and decent run clothes too :P

Good luck to you all on Sunday. I'm due to do it on Monday so I'll be looking out to see how you all got on and any tips!

I'm another one about to attempt W4R1 maybe tomorrow but if not def Monday (depends on demands of family!). I feel quite nervous but really determined - I will be 48 next week and really want to get fit. I still feel a bit of a twit running/walking around the village so tend to either use treadmill (easier!!) or go out really early before any one is up.

Good luck!

You can do it - I've got my W4 run 3 tomorrow and I've really enjoyed this week and managed it fine although I was very worried about running for 5 minute stretches but just went slow and actually enjoyed it. Good luck!
