Hi walkies.. thats unfortunate you've had an injusy in wk 1!! im not an expert by any means, but would say rest until hamstring feels better.. also, when you start back to it, after you've done 5 min warm up walk, pause podcast and stretch, concentrating on hamstrings calves and quads.. you cant do this before you start warm up as you cant warm up cold muscle..also important to stretch after you've finished.

i would say start back to wk1r1when you feel better.

Done be disheartened.. you will get there.. :)

Once you are feeling better make sure that you do your cool down stretches really well, holding each one for 40 seconds. Don't run too fast, the idea is to get safely to the end rather than bolt to injury. Slow down and finish.

Hi, I did the same thing in week 1! Also had shin pain, I think my whole body was in shock that it was doing some exercise! I was worried that resting it would mean it would be harder to get going again, but after receiving fantastic advice from this forum, I realised it's important that you do because you could really hurt yourself if try to run through it and then be out of action for ages as opposed to a few days. Luckily my legs felt much better after two days rest and I just carried on from where I left off, so no need to repeat the week unless you feel you need to. The advice from scavo and mirella regarding stretching is really good too. I think it's pretty normal to get aches and pains because our bodies are not used to it, but they soon will be so don't let it get you down. Hope your leg's better soon :)
