I did it. I just finished W5R3. The dreaded 20 minute run. And you know what? It wasn't bad at all. I just slowed down my usual pace a bit (on the advice of a colleague who runs) and viola! I did it. Thanks to all of you who encouraged me on my earlier post this week...it really helped. I actually started to well up a bit with tears when Laura congratulated me. Now, if I am honest, I DID believe that the pounds would be just melting away..they aren't but it is 90 days ago that I joined Weight Watchers and coupled with this running have lost 14 lbs (before starting to run), 4 inches off my hips, 4" of my abdomen, 4" off my waist, 3.5" off my bust (back not front ), 21/4" off my thighs and 1.5" off my upper arms.....I have been thinking it has taken too long but re-reading this now, I have to say......I am more than happy with this progress. I will be getting on a crusie ship in 2 weeks. With a perfect body? No but one that looks a heck of a lot better than it did in February. And I WILL be taking my running kit with me.
Pinch me! I must be dreaming.: I did it. I just... - Couch to 5K
Pinch me! I must be dreaming.
Well done you! Have fun running round the cruise ship!
Damn you btw, I was just going to go and get some chocolate (been putting it off aalll afternoon and was about to give in) but you've made me feel like I shouldnt now, lol
Everything in moderation....better to have a little bit of what you really want. I could give up chocolate forever but I've yet to meet a cheese I didn't like
Well done you. Week5 run3 is a biggie and step away from the cheese and chocolate!
I have run 3 week 5 looming, but not going to worry about it.
I do treat myself to a little bit of dark mint chocolate, it has very little sugar and so now I don't have anything else a piece of fruit seems really sweet and I don't have the cravings. I haven't eaten much cheese lately but have the vintage stuff and as it is so strong you only need a bit.
Have a wonderful cruise and keep the portions small then you will come back without damage.
