My mum and I just ran W7R3, and it feels GOOD! Can't believe we're finished. That 5K feels like reality now. Does anyone else need to improve on the speed? I find people over take us at walking pace !!
Can't wait though!

yey! I too have just completed week 7, felt so much better on R3 of W7. And yes I too am very slow. I call it my "slow motion jog"!! But we're doing it and that's the main thing. Good luck with week 8!
I see pace as a graduation project.
The C25K I see purely as an exercise to enjoy (and so build into my life forever) and build on the amount of time I can run for.
I will not address the issue of pace and distance until I've graduated.
I've been feelig the same. Did week 7 run 2 last night and for the first time recorded my distance. I did 3.64 km in 25 minutes then went online to find people saying that wasn't such a good time and that it was essentially a fast walk feelig a bit dejected now!
Don't feel dejected! That's probably the same speed as we're going, but just think, it's a whole lot longer and faster than we've ever done before. Hopefully the others are right and speed will come later after we've built up some stamina. We felt really proud and happy about completing wk 7 and I hope you do too.
Speed is a real issue for me too. I 'run' at 7kph on my treadmill, sprinting at 7.5 if I feel really good! My husband walks faster than this. Never mind, hare and tortoise etc. I've had no injuries or aches and pains at all - maybe something to be said for going slowly after all.
