I started the programme early in January, got injured 2 weeks in, had 3 weeks off getting over it, and started again mid-February! It's now 13 weeks later, so it's taken a bit longer than it should have, but I'm quite proud of myself, given I am fitting runs in round my husband, 2.5-year-old and 11 month old! I completed the final run yesterday, and covered 4.8K, so not quite the 5K specified, but I'm not far off! Now I'm moving on to the One Hour Runner bridge to 10K programme, unless the new podcasts come out soon and I fancy the look of them!
This is my first blo.g post, but I am a regular lurker, and would like to thank those who have supported me on the occasions when I have posted, particularly when I attempted a massive hill last week and had a major crisis of confidence. I have now tackled said hill again and kicked its bum, which was a real triumph of mind over legs! I have posted about my runs on Facebook and several people have started the programme themselves as a result, so I think that is really positive. I am definitely intending to keep up running to lose more baby weight (9lbs since starting the programme) and set a good example for my kids, and I think it is so good to have this programme and community available to free on the NHS. I tell everyone about it. Keep on running, people!
