just done week 6 run 2 and survived but only just.
Every time I run I find that my saliva gets really thick to the point where it makes it harder to breathe. Anyone else had this? I'm going to try running with a water bottle next time so I can rinse my mouth out regularly

It happens to me. I'm told it's just because I'm pushing myself and my body is reacting. I swill with water and do a sneaky spit when no one is looking. I did notice the London marathon runners were doing a lot of spitting, must happen to the best of us
I had that happen to me too today, thought I was going to choke but my husband says nothing beats a good spit so maybe we will have to be less ladylike!
Unfortunately, it's so thick that spitting it out involves stopping running and a lot of tissues. Will try taking a drink and see if that helps. I find it's the hardest part of running for me...bleugh
