Finished week 6... albeit in a soggy way.

Managed to get week 6 run 3 completed yesterday, it was raining but I knew that if I didn't get out and do it then I'd never get around to it... so I headed out in the rain for a 25 minute non stop run...argh!! I don't know if the rain helped or hindered, on one hand it cooled me down a bit as time went on, on the other hand the excess weight on my clothes and having to dodge a million slugs and snails that littered my path slowed me down a little! But, I did it, I didn't stop once... I struggled the most between 15 and 20 minutes, but then when I had 5 minutes to go I was feeling okay again. When Laura popped up with a minute to go and said 'push yourself a bit faster if you think you can' I thought, why not, I think I can! And managed to pick up pace at the end!! The best feeling in the world was at the end of the podcast when Laura congratulates you and says that you're now officially a runner, it put a big smile on my face as I never in a million years thought I'd be able to call myself that!

Oh well done!! In the rain too! And to speed up at the end.. That's fantastic and so inspirational to me as I face this one on Friday.

Good luck! I was dreading this run but the key is definitely to pace yourself. You'll be fine :)
