You should be ok to run - just follow the instructions the tattooist gave you for caring for the tattoo and you shouldn't have any problem running. I would think the worst that could happen would be at the "scabby" stage when your clothing might rub - but if you are worried about that you could just cover it while you run. I've had three - on one occasion, I didn't think about how it would feel to put my leather motorcycle jacket on afterwards and then ride home It wasn't too bad though, I just planned better the next time...
You'll probably find the itchy stage the worst
I assume it is quite big and detailed if it took 4 hours ? I'm surprised you say the pain is as bad as childbirth though - I found the outline quite sore but after that I found it all rather relaxing ! Whereas in my only experience of childbirth it took 36 hours followed by an emergency caesarean. Perhaps I should have had a tattoo at the same time to take my mind off it........
It should be fine - use bepanthen on it - its the best stuff hands down, my last tattoo healed amazingly fast with very little scabbing after my tattoo artist discovered it! Depends of course where it is - just don't let it rub too much or it'll hurt and you don't want to damage it, but the running and sweating won't hurt it
Thanks, am using Bepanthen as my oh used it after his and it healed fine. I'm going to rest up this weekend and start afresh Monday morning, It's been a very slack couple of weeks with the kids off school Thanks for the advice.
