Hi all, I am not sure if to go for my last C25K run today..... I have been off for a week and wasn’t able to run on holiday though lots of walking. Having had a week off, should I try for the 30 mins or drop back a week??

Give it a go & listen to your body. You won’t lose much condition in one week ( advice on here is up to 2 weeks won’t make much difference). A week off can sometimes be beneficial! Good luck. 😃

Thanks Elfe5, I didn’t know that about time off. I have dodgy knees and was away in a mega hilly place so knew I would struggle. I will give it my best shot !!

Dodgy knees - I have just been having problems with that. I have been advised to do knee exercises ( for now the non weight bearing ones - so not squats) and to cycle. Those in combination have made a big improvement. 😃

I'd give it a go. Take it slow and steady and good luck! 😁😁😁

I would drop back a week. I did that when I had a break for a week. I think it keeps your confidence.

I'm a bit late to reply. But I would say: do what your body tells you. If you feel strong, start, and if you then start to hurt, stop. But come back and tell us.

Thanks everyone, I am just having a hot soak after GRADUATING!!! Many thanks for all your support in this weird but great journey. Can’t believe it. I am taking a leaf out of TheOldFellows good book and going to start the park runs I think!

You are a star!

And you'll enjoy the Parkrun. Don't be put off by the life-long athletes. We C25K can be just as proud.
