Some words I got today

Was talking to a runner colleague and he said to build up slowly, rest etc. Then he said something which really inspires me

“I find there’s a point of fitness you get to fairly quickly where the action itself stops being conscious and instead of feeling the effort of the strides it feels like your body is a machine you’re riding and your mind just flies with thoughts – love that so much”

Looking forward to reaching that point!

That was true for me. I started in September. The first few weeks were physically hard and the last few weeks were mentally hard. I graduated in November and it continued to be an effort for quite a while.

Some time in the middle of January I was out and just realised everything was working together and it was a joy. It's not like that every time, but now it's what I run for.

You have a lot to look forward to. 👍

I love that and it keeps me focussed through the early pain parts. Thanks for showing the rewards!
