I’ve just done wk6 run 2 which was hard and made the mistake of looking at the next run. It’s 25 mins!!!! I was pushing it doing the 20 mins. Not sure how to approach as feel like a marathon 😂. Help, shall I just stay where I am a do run 2 again... delay it a bit?

Congratulations on completing run 2 of week 6, that is the last run with interval walks and runs, however, if you wish to repeat it or any other runs or week's, that is fine, you are well over half way through the program, it would be a pity to give up now, so do run 3 of week 6 especially slowly, once you have completed it you will be very proud of yourself like you were after you ran 3/5, good luck. 👍 🏃🏾 You can do it. 😊 🏃🏾

Don't panic, you will do this.

It is your C25K so you should do what you feel is right for you. That said, personally I wouldn’t repeat a run unless I didn’t complete it. You’ve managed run 2 so physically you are prepared, you just need your brain to catch up 😉

What’s the worst that could happen? You always have the choice to try it again. Chances are though, if you focus on staying at a nice comfortable pace (where you don’t feel out of breath) then you WILL do it. The challenge is what makes the achievement feel so special. You got this 💪🏼

I’m out of breathe the whole time, I need to get head around 25 mins.... that’s a long time. 10 mins twice today was hard. I really want to do this but scared 😟

I sounds like you are going too fast. Have you looked at the Japanese slow jogging? Google the YouTube video. I watched it around wk 2 and haven’t looked back 👍🏼

Hang on Wally2808 ... did you miss out W5R3? The 20 minute one ?

No, it took two attempts but did that one. Really had to push myself though, last 2 mins were v slow.

So if you completed W5R3... then why does an extra 5 minutes in W6R3 pose such a huge problem?

W5R3 was a mental hurdle... the biggest maybe, for many here.

Honestly, you're good.

Do it.

As far as mental attitude is concerned, this post may help healthunlocked.com/couchto5... but it sounds to me as if you are going too fast if you are out of breath.

The recommended pace for C25k (see the guide) is one at which you can speak aloud, clear, ungasping sentences as you run?.........if not, you are going too fast.

Thanks, I feel like I’m going slowly but will try slower on next run. Just keep it going... thank you will take a look at that post.

Some runs i found to be hard because i was less up for it. You can do the next run, i reminded myself, to take is slow, a light jog and when hearing Jo Whiley telling me i had ran for 12.5 minutes (half way), i pushed it slightly.... you can do it make sure you’ve had water, and just go..... i was going to repeat w6r2 but decided to just keep on moving.... and it was great. We’re all in it together 😉

Please don’t repeat run two, you can do it!!😄When I did week 5 run 3 the 20 minutes was doable but bloody hell it took it out of me- I couldn’t have run any further!

Fast forward to wk 6 run 2 and I didn’t enjoy that one at all, I found it really hard work...however by magic I ran the 25 minutes and it was by far my best and EASIEST run yet!!

Get yourself a good playlist set up and keep your pace nice and stead and you will smash it!😃

I only blooming did it. Wk6 run 3, when I woke up I had talked myself into leaving it a few days as had a terrible nights sleep. Not sure what changed but found myself dressed and trainers on ready to go go go. Can’t believe it, I am struggling with mental health problems as well and can’t do anything without my husband but for some reason with headphones on and Sarah Milligan talking to me I can do this. So chuffed. 😊
