Week 3 Run 2

I did run 1 yesterday but because of my shifts the next couple of days and the lovely weather calling me I did not miss a day and did run 2 today. I know I am going to be able to do 5 minutes next week if only my legs will allow me. Even though I stretch after exercise my calf muscles do ache quite a bit. Looking forward to moving onto week 4 on the weekend!!!

  • I have just done Run 2 Wk 3 this morning too! I love coming on here and seeing how others are progressing along with me . . it helps to keep me going! Good luck and hope we both can be talking about week 4 by next week! Can't really advise you on the calf aches but I know I find it has helped me to do a good stretch after and then again a couple of hours later.

  • I did my Wk3 R2 yesterday and it felt great, I was quite surprised when Laura said to stop after the first 90 seconds! What is it though with that music during the last walk before the final 3min run??!!! Is it to make us long to run so it stops? ;-)

  • lol . . totally agree about the music, makes me laugh to find others having the same thoughts!

  • have you tried stretching the calf muscles by standing on tiptoes on a step, facing forward & lowering your heel? this one works for me :)

    good luck X

  • Just did that Shelley - feels good - thank you for

    your advice

  • I did W3R2 on Monday and it was the best run I've had yet! Shins ached but I did do some stretches afterwards. I think that is why they didn't hurt the next day. I'll finish W3 today and (gulp) begin W4 Saturday. Nervous....but Laura hasn't been wrong yet!
