Got to 25 mins running week 7 and its now been 2 weeks since I have run. Got some sort of stomach bug or ulcer or something and I have become very disheartened. Seems like every time I get somewhere something else gets in the way. Should I keep going or is my body telling me jogging is not for me. Need encouragement!!!!!!!!

Hey scamp.... you made it to week 7! That's fantastic, I'm only on week 3. So you've made it this farm which is already an achievement. I took a break from it because of some pain and then I really, really didn't want to go again. The first run I did afterwards I had to have a friend call me at 7am to make sure I was out of bed and ready to go. So I went with very bad grace and it was so much fun I actually wrote a blog post here about it. Try again, now while the weather is gorgeous, and you'll remember that you can do it - after all, those 7 weeks didn't just happen by themselves.
I'm sure you can do it, ignore the horrible little voice that says it will be too hard, perhaps try a week behind what you were and you'll see that it's easy and that you can do it. Good luck!
Hi scamp - if you're still poorly then don't push it, but just be reassured that if you have to leave it a bit longer, you won't be back to square one. I got to week 5 run 2 and had to break for 4 weeks due to a chest infection, and came back in at the beginning of week 5, no problem (much to my amazement!). So don't be afraid to take the time you need to revcvoer. I think you'll know when the time is right.
