I Feel Good - like everyone should now

Continuing the musical theme, this kind of reflects how I felt after my run this morning.

I woke early and was convincing myself that I could just delay until tomorrow - then I looked at tomorrow's weather forecast and decided to dodge that wet and windy bullet and get out today.

I decided to tackle the Speed run on the Stepping Stones - speed definitely not my forte. But only 15 minutes of actual running - that's a doddle yeah? Well, I did it and it was nice to do some "proper" running but boy did I have to work at it. Nice to have to work, though and very much worth it.

We're advised not to do this one more than once a week - I'm happy to comply with that.

But it really feels good to be running with a structure and one that takes me forward. I so wish this had been available first and second time around. I feel so much more positive about a future in running with this sort of thing to keep me inspired.

This is the schedule for the speed runs. Short sharp and shockingly good when you succeed.

thanks so much that helps I may have to use a timer instead ….But I do need to increase my pace so an occasional sprint session would be good

Interesting to find that I am slightly stiff this morning after yesterday's much shorter but faster run. I was obviously right in thinking that I was working harder.

obviously a good work out then interesting to see how it affects your pace on the longer intervals - I’ve wimped out today but will go tomorrow

I don't record my pace or distance in any meaningful way so we'll never know . I have a step counter but don't use that for an accurate distance as my walking strides are longer than me running strides so it can't be reliable.

Actually you’re probably better doing it that way - sometimes stats aren’t helpful!

I think you are probably right. I see so many people in here getting tangled up with them and, unless they are needed like for your 100K challenge (or is it longer?) they just get in the way.
