After a spell of self doubt and the gremlin I decided to blog today so I have a positive one to read if (note not when!) the gremlin returns.
What a beautiful morning for a run. The clear blue sky and sun is enough to make any one smile and even better it was cool (wells little cold to start with)... Perfect running weather!
Decided to do 10k this morning and plotted a nice big loop and off I went. For the first time in ages I managed to run 20mins non stop, woo hoo! The run went ok did a bit of walking every now and again to ensure I made it to the end which I did!!! However, feeling a little cheated as when mapped the loop it was just over 10k but my Garmin showed 9.1k. It certainly felt like 10!!!! Oh well timing wise it was in par with what I have done before (9k in 70 mins) so happy with myself.
Think the smile on my face will be there all day

Looking at the weather and wishing I had planned to run today instead of last night in the rain. Still I did manage yesterday to get back under 30 mins for the 5K after a difficult run previously in wind and rain and a weekend of parties with the wrong food which had seen me at 32 minutes. Still I reason that no matter how bad that one felt it contributed to yesterday's better one. It's amazing how this running lark continues to be so much of a mental game!
