Better late than never…

After an unexpected 2 hour’Yang/Yin’ yoga session followed by my first ever sound bath on Sunday, yesterday being a planned hour in the gym, working on leg strength; today saw my second consolidation run!

Actually I had Steve Cram in my ear telling me to go for the 35mins one.

So I did

The gremlins were kept at bay by Muse’s lyrics Telling myself that :

They will not force us

They will stop degrading us

They will not control us

We will be victorious

(So come on)

In fairness I didn’t do exactly as SC suggested but gremlins at bay, it was super helpful to be reminded of running posture.

Keep your shoulders down — at times of tension and stress we know they automatically rise, a survival strategy from ancestral times Something we’re not always conscious we are doing it though so grateful for the reminder.

35 mins run yay, just over 5k.

In the words of Shrek — that’ll do donkey!!

I’ll be repeating this run on Friday, maybe following the instructions too!

Onwards ♥️

I must correct you - you are not a donkey🤪

I didn’t know about the shoulders thing it makes sense of course because when I’m driving in pouring rain or fog I get tense shoulders … Victorious indeed

My consolidation run number 3 tomorrow I’ll try and do you proud

Hoping the rosemary plantings is going well or now is finished — a marathon in itself!

I’ve every confidence with your third consolidation run and I’m looking forward to reading your report.

Friday early morning for me — another 35 minutes I think, maybe picking up the pace/ or maybe not. See how it goes.

My prayers were answered as our friends completed the final stretch Monday without us. 813 plants in all …

We’ve spent two days getting the house and garden in order as it’s for sale and we were supposed to have a viewing but they flaked…

Really peed off as I didn’t run because I didn’t think I had the time and we got the message only a couple of hours prior.

Like sheps I struggle to do afternoon runs. So tomorrow morning it is.

Wow — that’s some planting. Hopefully the wedding guests will appreciate all the effort that’s gone into the garden.

Sorry to hear your house viewers didn’t show it’s so frustrating. Are you planning to stay in Italy? Good luck with it all, it just takes that one right person or people to walk through the door. I hope it is sooner rather than later

I feel your pain. I’m a morning runner too, something psychological goes on in my brain making it seem impossible if I don’t run within a certain window of time. May the morning be bright and the weather gods on your side

Moving back to UK - it’s complicated and the B word didn’t help at all. Still we fell in love with this place and view and you’re right it takes just one to buy.

Mornings I think just suit most of us better if we are lucky enough to do it before work etc. it sets you up for the day at least that’s my mantra. Good luck for Friday

I don’t know Italy, apart from Venice. We did a house swap when our children were younger just outside. Before I met my husband, he walked back from Greece through Italy to U.K. and fell in love with the country. Life is an adventure and you’ve embraced it and I’m sure have met some amazing people and had many wonderful experiences.

Now for this morning’s run. Go girl!

My legs are actually a bit tight this morning so glad I’ve 2 days recovery before my next one.

On you go.... good encouragement for our C25K runners here... have you popped across to Bridge and share your runs there too?

Tense shoulders... yes... that is why I always do the recommended, body check, as I run...and I did get Mr OF to video me running, a while back and that did a great deal to help me focus on my running position, besides being great fun!

Head, shoulders, hands and flying feet!

I haven’t — it actually hadn’t occurred to me, so thank you! I shall certainly be giving my body regular check ins now — a video check is a good shout too!

Thank you. Very fortunate. I will need to tear myself away once in awhile to make sure some elevation are included, not sure I’m quite ready for that yet though! 😮‍💨😂
