Now finished run 3. First 4 90s runs went well, last couple I was thinking just how long is 90 seconds. I need to change my music I think. I keep using the same track and starting at the beginning so I know what is coming next. I am going to try shuffle, then play how quickly can I guess the tune. Need something to get my mind of the time and relax.

Next to week 3 and hopefully the weather gets warmer. This cold weather does not suit my sinuses.

well done oldperson47 …sometimes runs do feel a little hard, that can be down to many things…make sure you’re drinking plenty of water beforehand, stretching is important too but yes, what you’re listening to can have a big effect too…so put something upbeat on…if you have Spotify there’s some healthunlocked playlists with some banging tunes on!!

That’s brilliant!!

Music really affected my pace and had to tone it down at first otherwise I would have run myself into the ground. For what it’s worth I’d say plan your soundtrack beforehand and pick upbeat tunes without too fast a tempo.

I empathize with the sinus issue... it is not great in the biting cold! Make sure you are putting n some core strength and stamina work in on some of your rest days.

Look around as you run, focus on all you see...try to relax that running body and take in the sights, the sounds and the smells around you. Name the trees, the bushes, the buildings... Mummycav named a lovely bush growing on the park where she ran..Oldfloss !
