Week 3 Run 3 - Done but just about

This run was a tough run! Didn't enjoy this one. During the last 3 mins I stopped running and stood still for 10 seconds then carried on. But this made me feel like I haven't completed the run. I feel down about it. But I know all runs have their ups and downs. I will try week 4 day 1 next!

Don't feel down Fitness 2025, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, what I would advise you to do is give yourself a extra day off running and repeat run 3 of week 3, this time a little slower than you did today, hopefully you won't need to stop running for another 10 seconds, good luck 🏃🏾✔️

I would re run it, last time I did this I had a big fail, nothing i could do but stop/start during the run, completed the time and felt so down about it, but even if you don't complete a run you still gain fitness and stamina and mentally you will be stronger for knowing that. I have taken the occasional extra recovery day in the early weeks, it does help, Do pick a time where you haven't exerted yourself too much before you run, be mentally prepared for it. Keep going you can do this.

well done! You’re doing it. My thinking is that we all have to stop during our runs for various reasons, red lights, a chat with a neighbour, blowing one’s nose, sipping some water or taking a quick breather.

Unless it’s an official race and one is trying to get a personal best, it should not matter, right?

A run is a run, and whatever one needs to make a run enjoyable, and to keep you running, all is good in my book!

Excellent! You got this!

Now I'm quite a bit behind you, but if you're committing so can I. I took a five second breather last time out so does that mean I cheated? Aarrgghh, I was going to do Week 3 starting on Tuesday. Maybe I should repeat this last one? Perplexed of Italy....

There's a bit of me that absolutely understands you feeling miffed about it. but also it was only 10 seconds. Do you follow the instructions dead to the letter? Sometimes I find that I pre-empt Jo Cool, because I think she's going to say run and I've already started. Be kind to yourself you may have pre-empted 10 seconds throughout the rest of the run, but if you feel you really didn't and want to do it for your own satisfaction, then re-do the run. We're all behind you whichever way you go.

Good luck
