Moving on?

Hi runners,

2 more runs since my last post. I did the NRC 4K distance run on Saturday and the NRC 'Just a Run' today.

I enjoyed them both. The 4K run was great, the best I've felt running since around my graduation in 2021. It was a smooth, enjoyable 4K (in just over 27 minutes) and it was also my best pace in a long time (weird how that happens). I also quite enjoyed the coach on this one, Shalane.

Todays run also felt pretty good, back up to 30 minutes and it felt comfortable all the way. Back to coach Bennett, and yes, he has grown on me! 4.25K, just slightly slower than my last run.

I'm going to be working away and travelling from Friday, so this may be my last run for a week or so. I am feeling a few aches now though, so a little break might do me good. I'm not great at exercising when away on business but I'll take my running shoes just in case.

Moving on you say? I should probably jump over to the 'Bridge' community now that I've consolidated my graduation. Thanks for having me back C2K5, it's always a pleasure. ❤️🏃‍♂️

Thanks man. I'm hoping to at least get into a gym a couple of times while away, as outdoor running looks really unlikely. I'm off to the USA and the temperature outside is minus double digits (-14 currently)!!

I am not one to gym but if you're going to visit one is there a chance they'd have that indoor running machine? I've been running the program and relish leaving the headphones at home; is the NRC suiting you? Do you think it was the app and Shalane that got your best speed or coinicidence and your inceasing fitness.

If you can access a treadmill you might enjoy the NRC treadmill runs. I'd forgotten how to use a treadmill and found the First Treadmill Run really useful. Good luck 😁
