After some time being ill (CI) and some Christmas indulgence, I am planning on getting back on to running tomorrow & am a little apprehensive .

I was at week 4 run 3 so I am going to go back at week 3 & see how I go 😌

hi Diadem70 …sorry to hear you haven’t been well, there’s been all sorts flying around hasn’t there?! Sounds like a good plan you have there…sometimes it’s the best idea just to take a step back to move forwards…good luck

Hope you are feeling better today. I haven't run for over a week due to a heavy cold, upset tummy and the miserable, murky weather. Actually just went for a short walk yesterday as I hadn't been out of the house since Christmas Day. Starting to feel a bit better now so my plan is to start gently again. There are definitely a lot of bugs going round. A run is still available to us when we feel up to it. X

Ooh dear, poor you, it is miserable isn’t it sometimes?

I hope you feel better soon & you are able to get out but don’t go too soon,

I am planning to go out for the first time for what seems like ages today,

Whoop whoop! X

I've said this many times but, aside from the sheer value of getting out at all, you honestly may as well carry on with the programme. It's not like you get chucked out if you don't complete a session in full, so why not take it gently and 'risk' completing the next session due 😀

My caveat is that if you have been unwell, it is worth having a walk (doesn't have to be a brisk one) and giving it a day off to see how it impacts you before getting back to running.

Well said, I am going to see how I go today- regarding getting over chest infection but I am confident with progress this coming week 😊
