Latest update from me. I didn't really fancy running today but looking at the weather over the weekend, I could see this was going to be my best opportunity, so I forced myself to go out at lunch time.
Cold but dry and not too windy. After my last run, with the technical issues, I was determined to run for the full 28 minutes and try and enjoy it. It was pretty tough going today - I didn't feel quite as gazelle like and had to really dig in in places, especially the last couple of minutes. Glad when Jo announced I'd completed the run.
Pleased to report I made it, a full 28 minutes (and a couple of seconds) and exactly 4km covered in running distance. Not too bad. Hoping the weather wont distract me from completing week 8 on Monday. 🤞🦌
Have a great weekend everyone - enjoy your parkrun if you're out tomorrow - looks like a wet one!

Well done for getting out there when you didn’t feel like it SD! I hope you got the post-run feeling where you’re glad you went out and feel better for it. My next run is tomorrow, I fear I may be battling the elements out there haha 🌧️💨
Thanks Laura, yeah, just wasn't in the mood today. Wanted to get out early but stayed under the duvet too long, then had a mid morning break in work where I tried to psych myself up to go out but then I just procrastinated at my desk! Finally managed to push myself out the door at lunch time! Glad I did - and the post run (slightly smug) feeling is the best!!
I share your procrastination problems. Eventually, I gear up and pull my shoes on and head out but it takes that bit of will. Since starting this program I've had a few false starts and when I slipped before it was because for whatever reason i didn't go out. I have got better but still lost a week recently.
It is worth reminding ourselves of that post run slightly smug feeling
