Week 8 - a challenge, but got there in the end

I was feeling on a high at the end of week 7, I had run for 25 minutes, more than once! Week 8, just an extra 3 minutes, that'll be a breeze (not).

Run 1 was ok until the final 5 minutes, which nearly killed me. Then I was out at the weekend for a 10 mile walk which needed recovery time, so that was 6 days of not running.

Run 2, didn't feel like it at all, so I allowed myself a short walking break at the end of each song, around 40 seconds. That worked and I finished the 28 minutes. But then another 10 mile walk and feeling below par led to a further 6 days of not running.

Run 3, yesterday at tea time. Miraculously I went from feeling a bit meh to feeling like putting on my running gear and just going out to see what I could do. And blow me, I only went and ran the full 28 minutes!

Roll on Week 9 πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜€πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Well done, this was a bit like my Week 8, I was going to repeat but decided to push on to week 9 and it went fine!

It's amazing what a difference 3 minutes makes, but in week 9 it's only an extra 2.

Should be easy, eh? πŸ™‚

Well done, week 8 was a bit tough for me too but if we get through it it does seem to get easier (on average!)

Usually by the 3rd run, or the 5th πŸ˜€

Very well done you... those walks are helping build every single bit of your body up... strength and stamina... so when that run came.. you were ready for it...

My Nan used to say that walking was the best exercise... and at 98, still climbing two flights of stairs.. I feel she was right!!

Just, if you do feel it is a bit of a struggle. then do ease back as much as you need to :) On you go and very well done!
