Completed my second run in week 2 this morning and it was so good to be out. Bright and cold but I was okay with my gloves and running top. Us Scots are tough!
This is my umpteenth repeat of C25K and I’m determined not to rush and risk injury again. So..,,I’ve decided to do each week twice before moving on. I’m not sure I will stick to this all the way as it will take so long but it’s working so far and what’s the hurry?
Just wondering whether anyone else out there has done the same and if so was it successful?

I haven’t repeated every week twice but I have def repeated weeks when I haven’t quite felt the at sense of achievement at the end of a week..you do whatever works for you…& by the sounds of it, you’re doing the right thing 😉
Hi. I considered it but thought that I would be delaying my progress. It would take twice as long to move on if you see what I mean. Having said that I would have done it if I didn’t feel ready for the next stage. The situation would have presented itself. I wouldn’t have planned it in advance. Not to say it’s a bad idea. It’s not. It’s what is best for you.
I’ll see how things work out. My reasoning is that although it will be slow, if I can build my strength and resilience then I won’t end up being on the ice for several weeks then having to repeat weeks again anyway. I can see I’ll mo as t likely get frustrated and move on a bit faster as I get further on though.
Not long after I had started, having problems making the commitment and the first runs being so hard I felt I could take my time progressing and only moved on to the next stage after I had completed all 3 runs at each level in a 7 day slot. I started in February and I at month 10 I am now ready to attempt my first week 8 run. My impetus really kicked up after week 5. I started writing about my runs on here.
I doubt it's the writing that made me get out more often but I think it helped. Those 8 months of repeating runs allowed my fitness to progress and made it a bit easier. The old couch to 5k might look like a 9week program but it wasn't for me, it seems from reading these boards it can be any length and may well not get to 5k either.
You are right moopo. Many of us didn’t get to 5k in 30 minutes until many months after c25k; in fact I would guess that very few achieve that. The objective is really to be able run 30 minutes without stopping by week 9. I chose to increase distance rather than pace after C25k; I flipped over onto Bridge to 10k forum, found the magic plan and followed that. I managed a sub 30 minute 5k about a year after finishing Couch to 5. Building up distance helped with strength and fitness, and over the six years I have been running,I think that distance has been of greater benefit to me than speed and certainly I have followed a pattern of achieve the distance first then find a bit more speed over that route.
.The good thing is that I can still have the satisfaction of hitting new PB’s six years on. Keep doing your thing; you are doing just fine.
