beautiful day - but legs felt leaden and I assumed I would feel that 3K was enough for the day. Considering I actually managed to run 3x (usually I manage to get out twice) last week, I would have been happy with that. But somewhere I found more, didn't add in too many slopes, and hit my first 5K! I should have aimed to get closer to home because the walk back left me a bit cold with just my residual smugness for warmth along with my light jacket (no daytime neon!)
Might be a bit quieter on here (phew, I hear you sigh) as the next week is going to be rough with work. Hoping running will see me through! Then ... a bit more consolidation at 5k ... then ...?
EDIT just to clarify for anyone new - our NHS C25K programme doesn't actually get you to run 5K, it gets you to run for 30 min by the end of the programme. Most people won't be hitting 5K in that time but you'll have all you need to hit it eventually. The Zenlabs C25K gives you a choice of distance goal OR a time goal. Either way there's no speed requirement. Take your time and hit your goals safely!
Happy running for every one of your kilometres
