Just about made it today. Tried a new route which was along a sandy/gravelly path by the sea. Tia loved it but it was hard work. The AI man on Strava said I worked really hard and by the time I got home (the apartment feels like home now) it was 5.8km. Nearly there!

Brilliant! Sounds as if you did really well.

A friend of mine has been staying very near where you are at the moment and she is dreading leaving the warmth when she returns here next week.. but she’s not a runner. Do you find cooler running here a lot easier? I know I can only run, at all, if it’s cool.

We have another 2 weeks before setting off for home so it will be November before back in UK so we will notice the difference! At first I struggled with the heat but I soon learnt that I need to be out just before sunrise, it’s still about 20 degrees but manageable. I can run better when it’s cooler but my chest prefers it to not be too cold x
