Has anyone tried the 10k runkeeper training plan? How did you find it? It looks quite fast with 8k run in the second or third week!
If no good, what would you recommend?

After I graduated, I looked at that one, not fancying any of the C25k+ options, but was put off by the steep increase in distances, which exceeded the recommended 10% per week increase. I ended up just gradually increasing my distance on my weekend runs, up to 10 k and beyond. Ironically, I exceeded the 10% too, although, depending on your general fitness and age, I would counsel against doing that. I discovered that I needed to improve my core strength after suffering lower back pain as my distance increased, especially beyond 10k. I think my core has just about caught up and although I really enjoy my weekly 10-12k run, I am tempted to push on again. My longest run to date was a ten miler and I would like to know that I can comfortably run this distance, even though I have no interest in Half marathon distance. Slow and steady is definitely the way, but the increase in distance and duration was not particularly difficult and you will probably surprise yourself.
Good luck.
I echo the 10% suggestion. After graduation, I felt invincible, so I progressed from 5k to 7.5k in a week. The following two weeks I couldn't run at all, as I was suffering from very bad knee pains. So I had to re-start at 5k and then add 10% per week, so far that seems to work (am up to 6.7 km now)
I´m still doing C25K, W7 now, but I´m reading the posts and all I can find looking for a plan to go to 10K. I used to run 10 k many years ago, but of course I was younger and didn´t take care of anything, just go and run!
I think that the best of what I saw is BUPA plan, bupa.co.uk/running/training...
maybe you want to take a look
