Well, those of you who know me might know I've been having a tough time personally and also have been suffering from persistent foot niggles that have stopped me from running.
I've done a couple of runs here and there and a 10k race but nowhere near the focus I had when starting out.
Well, I've had podiatrist and physio intervention and things are looking like they might resolve if I go gently. So I've done my usual, got the spreadsheet out and got on the internet and booked in races.
So, here goes....
- 6 10k races starting in Feb
- 3 5k trail races starting in Jan
- and....
- a Half-Marathon in May!!!
All booked and paid for.
I WILL get back to form in 2020 and I've done one of my spreadsheets and have a fully-formed plan in place. I'm so looking forward to starting next weekend!

YAY! When I was running today I thought I hadn't heard from you in a while so I'm glad to see your post now. I'm thinking of booking some races too to get back into it. I'm plodding along in the C25k programme again but starting to get a bit restless and worrying I can't actually run for more than 3 minutes any more. The usual gremlins visit. Do share the races with us/me!!
Please tell me that this new plan will include some parkruns so that I can run with you. Ok, so that I can run some way behind you and meet up for breakfast afterwards.
Although I might be tempted to join you on the occasional (flat) 10k. Now that I have managed to increase my distances again I plan to include a 10k run at least once a month so that I am ready to ramp up for an emergency 10K race should I need to
Glad to hear things are on the mend. As someone who was on the IC for a relatively short period recently I can sympathise with the frustration you must feel! Fingers crossed for your plans.🤞👍
