so after finally reaching 5 k was doing some consolidation runs alternating between short and long.

last week I did 2 x 5k runs each around 50mins. I then went to do a third run - was going to do 30mins but felt really off. Stopped after 20 mins and walked the rest.

have done a couple of one hour walks at the weekend And feel a bit twingy in my back

I am going to just walk for the next 2 weeks and maybe do some strength and flex when I feel better.

Not sure what I did suppose it’s just one of those things I do thorough warm ups and cool downs and lots of stretching and have been feeling great

It’s disappointing but there you go

Back soon hopefully

oh dear! Yes, maybe it needs dialling back a bit. I used to have backaches when walking (not running), and it took me a year or so for my back to get stronger and now I’ve not had any back issues for yonx.

We do have a Walking sister-forum, and I posted recently a fabulous audio-guided walking plan, which might be fun to try.
