Just finished this run... An unexpected hill at the start of the eight minute section made it more effort than I thought, but got finished anyway! Funny how hills that you don't notice so much walking suddenly become a bigger issue when running!! 😁
Week 6 Run 1: Just finished this run... An... - Couch to 5K
Week 6 Run 1
Well done to you RunningJ123 on completing run 1 of week 6 of C25K, hills are hills, you don't notice them, at least small hills until you run up them, onwards and upwards to run 2 which is the last run with interval walks and runs, from run 3 of week 6 there are no walking breaks.
🍏 Well done! Hills are wonderful for strengthening legs and lungs. Embrace them & you will be well rewarded. You are really at an exciting stage of the program now! Enjoy! ☺️
Hills? We just get over 'em!
Seriously I agree...what i used to think were hills though I quickly realized were just small inclines
Very well done to you... those hills, are making you stronger with every run,..take it slow and steady.. and enjoy!
Hills get easier every time you run up them. If you find one which you really struggle to run up( or can’t run up at all) run what you can really slowly, with a shortened stride, and maybe you will have to walk some of it as you get towards the peak. That is normal. You will get further without walking every time you attempt the same hill, and very soon, you don’t need to walk at all. As Old Floss says, they make you stronger with every run. Even ultra runners who run through the highest roughest ground meet some hills they have to walk sometimes. You will get there.
