I'm due to do the last run of week 6 on Wednesday and must admit to some pre run anxiety. I know I need to go slow and steady but any other tips to get me through. Thanks
Week 6 run 3 worry : I'm due to do the last run... - Couch to 5K
Week 6 run 3 worry
Well done on getting to week 6 of C25K, you ran run 3 of week 5 in 20 minutes, run 3 week 6 is only 5 minutes longer, take that run slow and steady like you did with 5/3, once you have completed run 3 of week 6 your coach will tell you that you are now officially a runner., good luck 🤞
Your doing great! one foot I front of the other and try not to think too hard about it. Slow and steady especially at the start. I like music that makes me smile while I run or a good book or podcast, it really passes the time and stops you just wondering how many mins you have left all the time 😂
You will feel great as you cross the finish line!
🍏 Some excellent advice from our forum friends. You are well prepared by completing all the previous runs. Determine to go out and enjoy it & you will. Any run at any stage can be repeated. This is no race or competition. You can never ever fail. Every time you put your trainers on & head out the door you are a winner. You are a runner!
As the others say... just relax, go out, slow and steady.... enjoy.
You know you can do this... all you need to do now? Believe it!
Well done so far! Week 6 run 1 caught me out. You’re doing great.
As you know, each run prepares you for the next, you’ve got this, relax and enjoy! I loved this part of the programme the best.
Well done!! The advice here is all helpful. You’ve absolutely got the ingredients already in place. For me, the 20min was the key milestone and I just broke down the next steps. I felt quite stubborn then to go the next two mins and then before you know it your coach will say there’s 1 min left. Pacing is key. I have playlist too that just keeps me going with some songs thrown in to make me smile. You’ve got this- you’ve already put in the leg work so to speak! Good luck.
Sometimes the toughest part of the run is getting the trainers on and getting out the door. You've got this!
Slow and steady is the key...
Keep us posted.
Thanks for all the encouragement Completed week 6 run 3 this morning. Started a bit fast but soon slowed to a more manageable speed. Less snail and more aged snail with a zimmer frame. But still did it. Thank you haven't stopped smiling since.
