Yup he's back!! and what a run! Varied the route today, and was soon in auto pilot/cruise control. Nocked a fair bit off my average speed today and also broke the 5k barrier! :) :) :)

As Laura said, I have turned into a real runner!

Sorry couldn't add the stats to the reply, so have put it on the original post.

Wondered where you'd got to. Thought you'd dashed into the pub to celebrate. Great running again Saul.

Well done Saul. You are indeed a runner. Great to hear that you were in cruise control...

Do you find the first five minutes running the toughest before your breathing regulates and you go into the zone?

I do, but know not to worry now as it will ease if I push through it.

Week 7 beckons...:)

That pretty much wraps it up really, 1st 5 has me thinking what pace and how to breathe. Then cruise control kicks in and off you go.

I also did manage to give it that little extra in the last minute (not the whole minute) as Laura suggested.

Week 7 should be really enjoyable.

Well done Saul, you have done brilliantly! Yay the 5K barrier is still my goal but we all get there at different points. I did a different route last night and you're right, auto pilot sets in!!!!

We are indeed runners now so onward to week 7 now running buddy! It's starting to get a bit serious eh?

Have a lovely weekend. What are you up to?

Indeed we are runners now! Great to see you enjoyed your run, nice feeling when auto pilot kicks in and your body takes over rather than the mental block.

How's your new route? Knowing we would be running further I tried a new one last night but the hardest bit is finding a route with hardly any road crossings. Week 7 should be a blast, and over before it began.

Weekend pretty much the norm this week, weekly shop and possibly out for some food tonight.

Take care, have a lovely weekend.

Saul..x
