When I woke up this morning, really didn’t feel like going out but if my old dragon of a PE teacher taught me anything, it was ‘Don’t give up’ I remember one day I had gone along to support our athletics team (I wasn’t good enough to be picked) I was innocently sitting watching, when along came Mrs Lloyd, ‘Get up! Our 100yard hurdler is sick so you’ll have to do’ she gave me the only spare pair of spikes which were at least 2 sizes too big and told me to start. I hit every hurdle and fell on the last one, only to hear her shout ‘Get up, we get a point if you finish!!’. So, in comparison I thought this morning that a 30 minute run/walk should not phase me. Once I got out there on my favourite forest trail, I loved it!

🍏 oh how those voices from the past haunt us. Today you used the positivity of once finishing under very stressful circumstances to get out the door. How wonderful that you were able to enjoy your run on a beautiful forest trail & complete Week 2:2 so well done! 👏 🙌

Well done! I often say the toughest part of running is putting on the trainers and getting out the door.
