counting down the days now till I can run again. End of July is the 6 weeks and it can’t come too soon. I am managing to walk most days and doing lots of Pilates but it’s not the same. I’ve pottered in and out of my garden a lot so that’s looking good at the mo, and picking loads of strawberries and peas- can’t wait for the runner beans ( they are about 2”long at the moment).
My toe is still slightly swollen and I am conscious of it when wearing my slippers and when trying to put on socks and of course washing and drying my toes. But it’s not really painful like it was. I’ve had to wear flip flops a lot and just be very careful when other people are around that no one steps on it. 🤣
Still enjoying running vicariously through all your posts so keep it up guys

Morning! Glad that the toe is less ouchie! It sounds to have been very painful . You are keeping up with the exercise though, which is great and reaping the crops too!
My beans are only just flowering! My tomatoes are tiny still and look more like peas!
Enjoy what you are able to do and those runs will be so sweet, when they happen... I remember having ten weeks off and when the consultant at the hospital, gave me the all clear, he said, " Right... you can now, RUN back to your car ! " I did too! xxx
I’ll bet you did!!! My garden in Devon seems to be about 3 weeks ahead of my niece’s in Avon, which is o my 1 1/2 hr further north. I grew the tomatoes and runner beans from seed and shared them with her too.
Oh, patience, such a hard thing to achieve, but you are doing a grand job 😁 the garden sounds wonderful, nothing tastes as good as something you've grown
I know what you mean about walking not being the same. I have a 15 - 20 min walk into town and I would much rather run it. Isn't that silly??
I'm on holiday at the moment and missing the raspberries and strawberries from my garden! My favourite is peaches from the store and lots of my homegrown berries mixed in.
Yes!! That’s been my breakfast of choice lately. With a pouch of Lidls peach protein yogurt, and usually nectarines rather than peaches but yummy all the same
