Still in lots of discomfort with my back but hoping to fend it off over the next day or so to start W8 on Friday or Saturday.

In the meantime I’ve registered with Parkrun to be able to do my local one once I’ve graduated. Yes, I know, I could do it before...

That’s awful - hoping it’s improving at least? Great about the Parkrun! 😊

Thanks for the replies. Back is improving a lot. It’s really the muscle down my right side into my buttock and upper thigh. Treating it with paracetamol and ibuprofen and Deep Heat and baths (last two not in close proximity to each other).

This morning it’s just very stiff and I’m confident I will run Friday or Saturday.

My local Parkrun is at Lyme Park in Cheshire (famous for the Mr Darcy scene in Pride and Prefudice) and I’m hoping I’ll get there late May or early June. It’s a fairly hilly route on mixed surfaces, apparently, so I’m not rushing in!
