Advice, do you still run or jog with a sore throat. (I’ve only had it since beginning of the week.

Is there anybody else that’s had a transplant on this site training for the Transplant Games

Thanks

I would run with a mild sore throat as long as I was otherwise well. My work involves a lot of talking so I often have one! If I was feeling generally grotty, I’d give it it a miss.

hmmm…I wouldn’t run with a proper sore throat because that’s usually accompanied by a feeling of rubbishness!!! And that always leads to disappointment…so if it’s a mild one yes…if it hurts..no

Do you feel like running? That's the question I always ask myself. You could give it a go, if it's not working slow down and have a nice walk instead.

What I often find is that the toughest bit of a run is to get the trainers on and get out the door. So my recommendation would be to start the run and if you find that it's not going well or the way you wanted, amend it or stop.

I think it would depend on how severe your sore throat is. If its a bit scratchy you might find that it doesn't bother you, but if you are having trouble swallowing and feel unwell, overall, you'll know.

Hope that's helpful.
