Fish, chips and mushy peas!

So after 10 weeks I finished the program at 6.00 this morning🥳

It was the most wonderful morning and felt so good I decided to slow it right down after the 30 mins to finish my 1st 5K.

At 63 years young I am feeling pretty pleased with myself so my Friday treat is going to be fish, chips, mushy peas and a pint of John Smiths.

I have seen so many ‘senior’ graduates on the forum who are an inspiration and testament to this brilliant programme!

Next for me is stepping stones etc to build on speed and improve technique but not until Monday!

Congratulations on completing the programme - you certainly deserve your victory meal this evening! 👏

As for next steps, I know that the lovely admin team will advise on best next steps, so enjoy and consolidate what you have achieved! Good luck with the next stage of your running journey.🙂

Congratulations, I thought for a minute you were going to have the fish, chips and mushy peas for breakfast at 6am 😂A suggestion from a fellow over 60, don't get too hung up about speed, of all the measures of success it's probably the hardest and the least useful. Just enjoy yourself.

Congratulations 👏👏👏 I second what others say, it's your run your adventure, consolidate well and enjoy yourself, speed? Hmm, I've got slower, but enjoy that I can just run, and run , and run 😁 who's in a hurry anyway?

Hi Spiritoffire.

Your post reminded me of the 1960s ‘Victor’ comic character, Alf Tupper, the Tough of the Track. 😀
