What inspires you to get out and run a little later in the day on a busy bank holiday?
It was beautiful when I first woke up. .. Calm sunshiny morning with a fresh nip in the air! However I succumbed to that lazy feeling & enjoyed a quiet breakfast & coffee with my hubby.
My thoughts turned back to Saturday to my 9 year old granddaughter & her first ever Family Fun Run.. we were able to watch it on video yesterday.. & suddenly in a flash I donned my running gear and was out in a flash. I took a different route that was peaceful & quiet but did manage 10 mins on the beach prom at the far end where there were less people.
So lovely out.. my legs felt good & my gentle pace was easy and rhythmic.. 3.5 happy K’s later I was back home with more energy to tackle the to do list! How about you? A very happy bank holiday to you all.

Glad you enjoyed your run today Annieapple, this holiday weekend started for me on Friday when I ran a short 3K, on Saturday I was a marshall at Springburn parkrun, Sunday saw my first bike ride and today Monday I took a 9K walk in the parkland near to where I live, weather was cloudy with light rain but only for about 10 minutes.
You have so much energy AlMorr Wonderful to be out & about in the beautiful places where you live in Scotland 🏴 & giving back to your community by marshalling at parkrun. Hope you have a great week.
What lovely photos Annie, and finding inspiration in family is great....I'm struck down with a nasty bug so just have to enjoy everyone else's runs for now
