Week 5 done, at last!

Ten weeks into repeating C25K and I've finally completed week 5. I was never planning on running frequently enough to finish in 9 weeks but had hoped to be a little further along than this - blame a blooming virus that knocked me sideways for 2 weeks and the weather which has not put the spring in my step I was hoping for. Hey-ho, just have to keep on keeping on. One positive is that I bought some new trainers and socks and been surprised how much more comfortable my feet feel while running. The difference proper running socks make was a real eye opener - no more supermarket sports socks for me!

ooh new trainers! We love shoe photos here….

Sorry about the virus. It’s rubbish when runs get derailed. You’ve done exactly the right thing recovering and hopefully you’ll feel back in the swing of things soon. It can take a while. Look after yourself and take any extra rest you need as you’re coming back to the running.

Totally agree about nice socks. I never thought I’d be a sock snob but this running malarkey does funny things to you!!!
