C25K Complete

Just wanted everyone to know that I've now completed my Couch to 5K journey, should have finished last November but due to knee problems I had to take a break from running, so I've increased my swimming and I've been careful about my bike rides, trying to do flatish rides, which isn't easy when you live in Bannau Brycheiniog,

So my next step is to find a parkrun or two that's fairly close to travel to, I'm booked in for the Swansea Swim 1900m open water competition so will have to see how I do.

Congratulations to you! I hope you’re celebrating. Injuries are a right nuisance and it’s great you’ve found a way to keep running without aggravating yours. Wishing you all the best with your continuing journey.

I registered this morning and already have my bar code, Unfortunately as I live in a rural location all the "nearest" runs are roughly an hour away,

Wow, that's good, I'm going to wait a few weeks because I'm not up to 5K yet but really looking forward to signing up as soon as I feel strong enough. I live in a rural area too but there are two I can go to which are half an hour away, even so mornings are not my thing. I have to be at work for 8am and have a 45 minute commute so quite enjoy a bit of a lie-in on Saturday. Goodbye to that soon! Do you think you'll go next Saturday? Hope you have a good run if you do and let us know how it goes.

I'm going to stick to my regular exercise during the week and see how I feel on Friday, but I do have a run in mind, also see what the weathers doing, it was cold enough for snow on the hills around here on Saturday, today has turned out really nice, so I've been out on the bike around the forestry and local reservoir. If I do run next Saturday I'll put a post on here, let everyone know how it went ;-)

well done on completing it. I’m just working my way through again after convalescing after an op. This must be my 5th or 6th time now as it’s my “go to” after injury or illness. Im up to week6 again now.
