I am very proud to say that I have completed the C25K program! Had my last run of week 9 on Friday. Would have blogged that day, but had plans to travel for a vacation the very next day...just got back last night. I'm still on a high over completing the program and still feelin good! This program is GREAT! Like life or anything, had some setbacks, but that didn't matter...I gained a super foundation with which to continue my running, building upon stamina and a little more speed. My next goal is to register for a 5K race...I'm a little nervous about that, but I'm doing it!
And the "secret weapon" that helped me through all this was reading the various blogs...this community is always willing to share their experiences...people being absolutely super in their support, whether you are just starting out on the program or have completed it. A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL MY SUPPORTERS! I won't forget to do the same for others starting the program or those folks who are going forward with additional running goals. I certainly couldn't have done it at all without YOU...MANY LOVELY THANKS!!!!
Many congratulations, can't wait to see your nice graduation badge. I agree with you that the blogs do help. Good luck on the 5K race, are you doing the park run?
Well done and congratulations! Isn't it an awesome feeling ... completing something seemingly impossible such a short while ago Enjoy your holiday, then back to the training ... Yep, these blogs are amazing! Happy running! Happy graduate! Linda x
Brilliant, and well done! It's such a buzz isn't it! Go for the 5k - I've opted for Race for Life, so a double whammy - a goal for me, and raising money as well.
Well done! That's brilliant news, and good luck with the 5k!
THANKS SO MUCH for all the well wishes! Had a decent run today (weather a little cool where I am in the States) and am still on that "graduate high"! Just LOVE seeing that graduate badge behind my name! (can't say that enough to either myself or anyone else, LOL!) I plan to register for a couple fun runs this summer, but the official one I want to register for in October is our Women's 5K Classic...unique because only women can participate...but the event benefits women and men who have or are survivors of breast cancer. So, I'll be running, raising money and paying it forward...
