I didn't feel like running yesterday morning, I'd had a very long day on Tuesday, fell asleep early and was up at silly o'clock.I did go to the gym and have started adding light weight exercises in for my legs, curls and extensions.
I decided to run today so that would leave the gym tomorrow and then running on Saturday morning.
I'm not up to Parkrun fitness yet but I'll get there.
Back to this morning's run.
Having done week 1 and 2 run 1 on my previous runs I opted for and run 1 of a week, so I decides to go with week 5.
The idea of a 5 minute jog was appealing and would be an indicator of how my knee was really doing since I'd tried this run a couple of times and had to stop before I got to 3 minutes.
I set the run going and when the first run segment started I listened to the sensible voice in my head but the little devil on my shoulder told me to ignore that.
I did the running segments at +.5 kph compared to my usual slow pace.
No issues, didn't even peg my HR, not that I was aiming to but I found that interesting, I may have to try a longer run at that pace when I'm fully back to fitness.
Loved every minute of the run!
