Well, struggled to sleep last night, couldn't get to sleep at first, and then woke up at stupid o'clock. Stayed there listening to the birds and wondering about running, and when was a decent time to get up, for about 45 minutes, then got up and sorted out my running stuff - trainers on, headphones in and phone sorted. Mustn't forget to attach the dog securely - that would be a disaster! - and off we go. At this point (and for several hours previously) I felt quite anxious about running for 25 minutes, and I seemed to have loads of niggles this morning, but I chose to ignore them and just got on with it. Great tunes, lovely weather and happy dog, so all seemed well, until about 5 minutes in I heard a voice in my headphones 'battery low' - eventually they died after around 7 minutes which is always a pain - I think I need some better headphones - but soldiered on with my phone in my hand so I could hear Laura and the happy Strava bloke, as well as music!
Before I knew it, I had 5 minutes left, and was actually feeling really good! And when Laura suggested it I had a little sprint in the last minute - so chuffed with myself. I DID IT!! It's such a great feeling, and to all those of you who haven't arrived at this point yet, or who have had struggles and worries, this programme is fantastic and really, really works. It is worth all the prep and hard work and (dare I say it) change of lifestyle to get to this point - just go for it! Admittedly I still have 3 weeks to go, but I feel like I have come so far and I am just so proud of my little old self! Happy Happy!
