I did it again…I haven’t run for a couple of week because I’ve had some kind of lurgy…didn’t really develope into anything but you know when you just feel blahhhh…so this morning I did what I would usually advise others and that’s listen to your body…when you’ve had a couple of weeks off, see how you feel, even if that means going back to an earlier run to get back into it…last time I ran that was my plan…but I just dug ny heels in and ran the run I was supposed to which was w8r1 thinking it might not go so well…but it did..
So this morning I did exactly the same thing, I was going to go back a week or so but when I got into my stride I knew I would be ok…so I just got on with it & completed w8r2…no problem at all…
I’ve been smiling all day & feeling really good…I love running ❤️
Have a great week everyone

Fantastic! Those runs are just wonderful to tick off. Before you know it, you’ll be road (or canal!) testing the Beyond Couch to 5k section of the app!! Enjoy every step ❤️
that’s amazing well done 👍🏻 , I’ve felt like you and like you I waited until I felt much better but all I managed was the end of the road and even that I hated so I turned back feeling so deflated and came home 😂
lol yes or maybe I need a kick up the butt- my eating is out of control and I seem to love slouching on the couch 😂 think I need a good kick up the backside to get motivated 😂
🍏Well done for at least trying to get up the road.. it’s more than you did before! Make sure you really are well enough…🤗
Set yourself some new attainable goals with your eating, exercise & getting off the couch… add in some fun rewards… walk your route if you don’t run it… just keep on going out on run days! Why don’t you try out the new Steve Cram runs on the What’s next Section of Couch to 5k .. maybe he will give you the motivation you are needing!!
Well there’s the 🍏Annie butt kick you were asking for🤣..don’t ignore me now!! Let me know how it’s going as I know from experience how hard it can be to get going with “life” when life feels comfy on the couch!! 🙈 Remember the glory of the 10k and get yourself back there! You can do it!!
It’s so hard to be motivated when the weather’s rubbish…there’s all sorts of excuses not to go flying about in your head, I know because I think the gremlins in my head made them all up!!! You’ve just got to get out there when you can…do what you can…just start off with a quick 10 min and see how you feel…maybe a walk in between and if you feel like it set off again…?? What you want to do is go home with a smile on your face so set yourself some little goals, play some games, do some intervals?? Just have fun & I’m sure that slouching on the couch will be a thing of the past…and remember how good it feels when you’ve been for a run no matter how far or for how long??
Slow is good!!! And can often mean further and longer..you’re not going to burn out taking it at your steady pace…I’m slower at the moment but I’m completing my runs because of that and that’s absolutely fine by me…I couldn’t get my head round it at first but Oldfloss talked some sense into me a few years ago and it’s stuck 😉…& having something to work towards like a holiday, like me(!) helps stay motivated 💪
Super running & well done listening to your bod. I skipped a run at the weekend due to not much other than the general blah-ness of low energy. Hope you continue to feel better!
Thank you Gthants …no point going out feeling under the weather coz it just makes you feel 100 times worse when you don’t achieve what you set out to do…well done you for doing the same 😉
