A trip down memory lane

Well, I had another of those weeks last week where I just could not get out for a run. Work, dark mornings, and a little bit of over indulgence on Friday night 🤣 ( let’s just say Saturday was a bit of a write off I’m far too old for lock ins these days, and although I didn’t drink too excessively, it was the late night karaoke that killed me!) I digress…

So today was the day to get out there - absolutely crystal clear and blue skies. I couldn’t run till later this afternoon but as there was hardly any wind I decided to hit the beach and relive my first ever 20 minute run - yes good old W5R3! Really annoyingly I couldn’t find where I’d put my new snood thing after the last run and if ever there was a day to use it it was today - but Ebony was chomping at the bit to get out!

Those pebbles still kill me and at the moment there is a closed path which means you have no choice but to run on them. But being the trooper I am and as penance for Friday night I soldiered on! We actually did a much faster pace than I had anticipated even though it was hard going underfoot, so I extended the run to 30 mins. I can’t wait for lighter mornings as I do so prefer early morning runs but that one was lovely.

I’m now going to catch up on all the posts I’ve missed over the last few days - have a good week all

It was the most beautiful time of the day. I do love a sunrise and a sunset. Good for the soul. Even pebbles couldn’t bring me down! Ebony loved it even though she couldn’t stop for her usual padddle!
