I’m a little late but happy new year everyone! I wish you all health and happiness.

What a week it’s been! Back to work was a shock and had to hit the ground running so I’ve been in a bit of a daze all week! I hope everyone has stayed safe in the awful weather, it certainly was not conducive to after work runs although we have been blown away on our walks down the beach a few times!

But this morning the wind has dropped ( yay 🥳) and so has the temperature- perfect for a run. Ebony was very excited- I must try and teach her to fetch her running harness! I wasn’t really sure what sort of run I wanted to do this morning and didn’t really feel like doing a 5K so I decided to be led by someone else and that can only be Coach B 😍 and what popped up but a thank you run - perfect. As always he gave me lots to think about. But I did think particularly about the lovely people on here and how we support and encourage each other - so thank you!

Coach B talked about keeping a running journal and I thought in a way that it was this forum is.

I was running a bit aimlessly whilst swooning over Coach B’s lovely voice and the time flew by. Before I knew it we were done and I carried on for a bit afterwards- in the end, having not intended to run a distance today, I was just short of 5K anyway!

I’m so happy that the winter weather is finally here and looks set to stay for a bit. Something else to chase away the January blues. I hope you all manage to get out there and enjoy it too 😊

The photo is actually from yesterday evening, we did a short walk along the sea wall just as the sun came out and was setting- and it really was golden hour.

Wow!! That’s a great run and an absolutely stunning photo. Those ones where you just go out for fun and surprised yourself with how far you go are the best!

What a cracking start to the New Year 👏 Well done on getting out and seeing how it goes as you run. I agree with you, it is so nice to run when it's cooler. It really makes you feel you've earned the run 🎯⭐
