A balmy evening final run

β€’14 Replies

I did it! I got home from work and went for my last 30 minute run of the programme. My husband, who started running with me after he realised by week 2 that I was serious about wanting to run and has been my real life coach, produced some arm lights for us to wear and off we went. The strange thing about tonight's run was that there was no anticipation about whether I could run for 30 mins because I knew I could. Well, the weather in Cornwall was perfect and as we got into the last minute of the run, my husband suggested that if I felt ok we could do another minute or so and I'd be at 5k. In fact it was 1 min 51 secs, but I'm so glad I did it. I know it's breaking the rules but it was brilliant. I will focus on that 5k now, slow and steady will always be my motto from now on. πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Well done. How brilliant to know that you're absolutely able to do 5k, too! I hope you're really proud of yourself, you deserve to be!

Well done, and already at 5k. What's next?

I'm going to consolidate the 5k and sometime in the New Year try the Bridge to 10k.
